Individual excellence and a good team spirit are our overriding aims. Our students develop a wide range of interests in our clubs and societies which extend the social, artistic, sporting and academic scope offered by the school. Music and Drama are popular after-school activities. Theatre, ballet, and concerts visits are also arranged.

There are art, archery, football, chess, badminton, choir, judo, computing, languages, golf, fencing, volleyball, cookery, debating, drama and aerobics clubs together with other interests, from crafts to life-saving. We run a course with canoeing, rock-climbing, abseiling and caving. There is the Duke of Edinburgh scheme and the Combined Cadet Force is very popular.

We excel at many sports and we play host to other independent schools. We also have an excellent heated 25 metre competition swimming pool due for opening early 2010.

Our large, sports hall can provide gym, badminton, and also a large range of sporting activities. There are also numerous smaller gymnasiums. We run ski-ing trips to Austria.
