We have often heard people comment that there are over 47 different businesses on the Estate. This is not so. On our Estate there are essentially two organisations - our School and our Insurance Underwriting business. To run these organisations and provide the support means there are different Limited Companies - some are for buying things, some are to hold different assets and some are simply for good management and tax efficiency. In addition to our School and Insurance we also run a property investment company which employs just three staff. Over the years we have invested surplus profits in buying freehold local properties to let. Even though this is a small part of what we do it also means we are now one of the largest landlords in the Harrogate area. Our three Charities are also run from the Estate. They employ just one person. So as you can see there are not a myriad of different business all operating on our Estate just a number of Limited Companies whose registered offices are at the Estate.
