This
course is an opportunity for students to study and produce detailed
quantity and quality work using the design process. You will learn about
the types of resistant materials and their manufacturing capabilities
through 'Design and Make' projects. You will be expected to undertake
background research in your own time
The course culminates in a final major project in which you take a project
from initial research, through the design process to make a final product
in wood, metal and/or plastic
It would be an advantage for applicants to hold GCSEs in Dual Science
or Physics, Maths and Design Technology at grade C or above but is not
a prerequisite. A portfolio of work is also required for a course interview
