Feeding and Bedding

Feed
All horses/ponies are fed on the brands that we stock, which are normally as follows:-

Slow release "Energy Mix", Oats, Pature Nuts,, Sugar Beet Pulp and Chaff
(Brands may vary according to prices and availability)

Please note it is a strict rule of the Equestrian Centre that regardless of cost: different, additional or specialist feeds must be purchased by the owner except for Yellow, Red and Green Livery.

Bedding
Purple, Blue, Green, Red, Yellow Liveries: At the beginning of each term 2 bales of bedding will be provided for each stable. This will usually be 'Aubiose' which is similar to shavings in that it is dust free and therefore helps prevent allergies, coughs etc. It is also easier to dispose of. A bucket of fresh bedding will then be provided each day to keep the bedding topped up. Students, with parents' permission, may purchase additional bedding if they wish to do so for horses which are particularly dirty or with special needs.
