BOOKSHOP
The Bookshop is run in school partly to enable pupils to buy books but also to encourage them to acquire books so that they can build up their own library. We feel this is a valuable educational opportunity , and it would assist pupils if they were able to purchase books, the cost being put on their account at the end of each term.
If you agree that your child might like to use this facility please indicate at Annex G your proposed spending level. The books are charged on the bill during the term in which they were bought.
CALENDAR
Day pupils, weekly and full boarders are all expected to make a contribution to the extra-curricular life of the school particularly on the following occasions:
Taster days for new pupils, some Religious services, Confirmation, drama productions, house music and play competitions, open days, social functions and sports fixtures.
CAR PARKING
Day pupils Junior and Senior- Car Park entrances B and I. Boarding pupils only -Car park entrance H (This serves Abbey Chambers and Benedict House.)
We respectfully remind parents that we have been asked by the Emergency Services that no cars should go beyond the barriers and in no circumstances to park close to the entrances in particular of Abbey Chambers or further into the Campus near the Joiners Shop. Cars parking in these areas can block access by Fire Tenders I Ambulances and have in the past been involved in accidents with other vehicles and children. We need to ensure that the central core of the Campus, as used by pedestrian children, remains as free from moving vehicles as possible. Even though it may be raining or you may have heavy luggage or small children PLEASE obey this safety code.
