Students
are expected to be courteous at all times both to each other and to adults.
This includes:
Standing
up when staff, other adults and Senior School Sixth Formers enter a classroom.
Holding
doors open for staff, other adults and other students.
Standing
back to allow visitors to pass.
Using
appropriate language to other students. There should be no swearing or
abusive language or
any language which could cause distress to others.
Stealing
and damage to property are considered serious offences.
The administration corridor is a quiet area.
In
order to facilitate movement around our schools:
Pupils
should keep to the left and walk, not run, along the corridors.
Pupils
must place bags and files on the shelves provided, not leave them on the
floor.
Food
and drink should not be taken into the classroom, libraries or any teaching
area. Pupils should eat and drink in the refectory and in warmer weather
at the tables provided outside. Food should not be consumed by pupils
walking around the schools.
Classrooms
should be kept tidy and litter placed in the bins provided. Chewing gum
is not allowed in school, tippex may not be used in examinations. All
possessions should be clearly marked with the owners name.
Boarders
must keep their bedrooms and common rooms tidy. Under no circumstances
may alcohol be brought onto campus premises. Smoking is forbidden with
the exception of Senior School Sixth Form who may use their special smoking
room with parents written permission.
