The parents of our boarders live all over the place. Some will live only a short distance away. Some live in the far flung corners of the UK - from the Shetlands to Lands End. We have parents of British children who live in every continent of the world. Our pupils benefit from a currency exchange with no commission charge for over 30 different currencies! As friendships develop some children join their friends for short holidays in the summer months. This has meant that these children have had the chance to experience some amazing travel experiences, from Germany and America to Barbados and Dubai!
Every boarding bedroom has its own direct dial in and out telephone. If your child is not in their bedroom you can leave a message on the voice mail box. You can telephone direct to all of our boarding house staff if there is something worrying you or details to work out. All children have free access to e-mail facilities. On our campus there are "e-mail centres" they can use to write, send receive or print out e-mail messages. E-mail is quick, easy and FREE! We receive a sack of post everyday destined for our boarding children. Grandparents, uncles, aunts and other relatives are welcome to attend school plays, musical presentations and Speech Day on your behalf.
Our School Shop has a complete range of new AND nearly new uniform. All our nearly new uniform is dry-cleaned, in first class condition and in many instances indistinguishable from new. You can save hundreds of pounds. Children grow so fast these days that a great deal of uniform never wears out but is just outgrown. Every boarding bedroom has all the necessities - a hairdryer, a CD/tape/radio etc. No need to buy them - we supply them. We can provide, in most instances, escorted transport to and from airports and railway stations. Our small charge is a huge saving on taxi fares. Children can bring a pet rabbit or hamster to school - we provide free food, bedding and cage. Free satellite television, free Sony Playstations, free mountain bikes - we try in many ways to save our parents unnecessary expense.
