Welcome from Steven Jandrell - Head Teacher ~ I realise that living as a member of a Force's family is a pretty strange experience and not normally fully understood by those who do not have to do it. Civilians not involved with the Forces find it difficult to imagine a job where you can be moved at little or no notice, invalidated out on quite minor medical grounds or sent into a war zone with little or no means of contacting your family. Forces partners have to keep the family and home together for extended periods of time while their partner is on unaccompanied postings. Having your children in a school where the Head fully appreciates Forces life can help tremendously. We have many Forces families, so your children will not feel isolated.

Forces cut backs? ~ Well we have made our own cut back and this time YOU benefit! We have made some changes which mean you end up paying less !! Yes some good news. With our Charitable Foundation’s backing, we are able to guarantee for the coming Academic Year, starting in September 2011, that whatever our boarding fees become and whatever the CEA becomes, your parental contribution per term, per child will be no more than £795 per child, per term.

If you also use the MOD’s ChildCare Voucher Scheme your termly contribution could fall to under £500 per term. Our aim will be to increase the £795 maximum personal contribution per child, per term, in following years, in line with the % Forces pay increases. This very low personal contribution now means we rank as one of the most competitively priced boarding schools in the UK for Forces children!

Where's the catch? ~ There isn’t one. We have over 200 Forces children currently boarding with us. We want that number to increase, not decrease. So we reckon if the “cake” might get smaller we need to get a slightly larger slice. How do you do that? You make it so that we now offer the best value of ANY Independent UK Boarding School. No one else comes close!

Register soon and receive a £100 FREE Uniform Voucher to spend in our School Shop!

Friendly & Caring ~ You can be assured that our teaching staff, and particularly our boarding staff, understand the emotional needs of our children. To be a boarding houseparent looking after children requires common sense, experience, patience and humour. Our staff are all carefully selected. Our staff have chosen their careers because they have a passion for and understanding of children. From bedtime stories to games; from the need for some common sense to some firm persuasion that a bedroom needs tidying up; for understanding when things are not going well: these help children settle and enjoy being boarders. Our boarding children know that no other independent school gives them as many home comforts as we do.

Our schools are on the list that qualify for the Allowance ~ The public need to pay a fortune to send their children to Boarding Schools, whereas you can get exactly the same for a small fraction of what they have to pay. Add to this, the fact we offer the best boarding accommodation in Europe, our College is the UK's number 1 top School in the North for academic results, a whole range of A-Levels, International Baccalaureate plus vocational options and with a new £6m Sports Centre, you really are onto a winner.
